At Varjut, every product is handcrafted with care. Because many of our products are custom-made, please review this policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Order Processing

Orders are processed after payment is successfully received.

Processing times depend on:

  • Product type

  • Current order volume

  • Product complexity

  • Whether the item is standard or custom-made

Estimated production timelines are provided where possible but are not guaranteed.

Production may be delayed due to:

  • High seasonal demand

  • Material availability

  • Customer measurement clarification

  • Technical production issues

  • Force majeure events

Customers will be notified of significant delays whenever possible.

 

2. Custom-Made Orders

Many Varjut products are handmade to customer specifications.

Custom orders may require:

  • Exact measurements

  • Photos or reference dimensions

  • Product fitment details

  • Additional communication for clarification

Production begins only after all required specifications are confirmed.

The customer is solely responsible for providing accurate measurements and specifications.

Varjut is not responsible for issues resulting from incorrect customer-provided measurements.

 

3. Shipping Destinations

We ship internationally where legally permitted.

Availability of shipping depends on:

  • Carrier service availability

  • Destination country restrictions

  • Customs regulations

If shipping to your location is unavailable after purchase, we will contact you to arrange an alternative solution or refund.

 

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise stated.

Shipping fees are based on:

  • Package size and weight

  • Delivery destination

  • Shipping method selected

  • Carrier pricing

Any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or local charges imposed by the destination country are the customer’s responsibility unless explicitly stated otherwise.

 

5. Delivery Times

Delivery estimates vary depending on destination and carrier.

Estimated delivery windows are not guaranteed and may be affected by:

  • Customs inspections

  • Postal delays

  • International transit disruptions

  • Local carrier issues

  • Severe weather or force majeure events

Varjut is not responsible for carrier-related delays once the shipment has been dispatched.

 

6. Tracking

Where available, tracking information will be provided after dispatch.

Customers are responsible for monitoring shipment progress and coordinating with local carriers if delivery issues arise.

 

7. Lost or Delayed Shipments

If your order appears lost or significantly delayed:

Please include:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Shipping address

  • Description of the issue

We will assist in opening a carrier investigation where applicable.

Claims for lost shipments must be reported within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

 

8. Damaged Shipments

If your package arrives visibly damaged:

  • Photograph the package immediately

  • Photograph the product and packaging materials

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery

We may offer:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund

  • Insurance claim assistance

Resolution is determined case-by-case.

 

9. Returns for Standard Products

For eligible non-custom products shipped to customers within the European Union, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery under applicable consumer law.

Returned products must be:

  • Unused

  • Undamaged

  • In original condition

  • Returned with original packaging where possible

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error or product defect.

Refunds are issued after inspection and approval of returned goods.

 

10. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded unless defective:

  • Custom-made products

  • Personalized products

  • Made-to-measure items

  • Products modified at customer request

  • Products showing signs of use, wear, or damage caused after delivery

This complies with applicable EU consumer protection exceptions for personalized goods.

 

11. Custom Order Cancellation

Custom orders may be cancelled only before production begins.

Once production has started, cancellation is no longer possible.

If cancellation is approved before production starts, any payment processing fees already incurred may be deducted from the refund where legally permitted.

 

12. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method.

Refund timing depends on:

  • Payment provider processing times

  • Banking institution delays

  • Currency conversion processing (if applicable)

Typical refund processing time: 5–14 business days

 

13. Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details.

Varjut is not responsible for delays, losses, or additional shipping charges caused by incorrect customer-provided address information.

If an order is returned due to incorrect addressing, reshipping costs must be paid by the customer.

 

14. Refused Deliveries

If a shipment is refused by the customer:

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • Return shipping charges and carrier fees may be deducted from any refund

Custom-made products cannot be refunded due to refused delivery.
